This exclusive collector tag is crafted from an original panel of EI-BND, the one-of-a-kind CL-44-O Guppy, famously nicknamed the Skymonster.
 
Built in the 1970s, this unique aircraft started life as a Canadair CL-44 and was heavily modified by Conroy Aircraft to carry oversized cargo. The fuselage was widened to create a bulbous, whale like profile – giving rise to its nickname. Only one such aircraft was ever produced, making this a true piece of aviation history.
 
The panel used for this tag was removed during its time with HeavyLift Aircraft Engineering, as noted on the included original 1990 work card. This document details a non destructive inspection (NDI) carried out on the nose landing gear (NLG) steering and side stays – a rare maintenance record that adds provenance and historic value.
