This exclusive collector tag is crafted from the pylon speed drive access panel of Boeing 747-300 VP-BGX, an aircraft that served with Transaero Airlines, Russia’s first privately owned airline.
Originally delivered in 1987 to Singapore Airlines, the aircraft was later acquired by Transaero and re-registered as VP-BGX, where it operated as part of the carrier’s long-haul widebody fleet. The 747-300, with its iconic stretched upper deck, was a transitional model between the classic 747 and the more advanced -400 series, and fewer than 100 were built—making this aircraft type increasingly rare.
VP-BGX flew on major international routes, connecting Moscow with key global cities and carrying passengers in both economy and business class configurations. The aircraft was a regular sight at airports throughout Europe, Asia, and beyond during the height of Transaero’s operations in the early 2000s.
This collector tag is cut from a genuine speed drive access panel located on the engine pylon, offering a rare and technical piece of the aircraft’s external structure. A unique addition to any aviation collection, it preserves the legacy of both an iconic aircraft type and the bold ambitions of one of Russia’s most recognisable former airlines.
